Super Lice found in AZ

Monday, August 1, 2016

Dr. Dawn Gouge, Specialist in Urban Entomology, was in the Arizona Daily Star featuring her insights and advice on dealing with head lice. The story was triggered, in part, by data showing insecticide resistance in lice in Arizona and 41 other states. “The lice, once they’ve hatched are easy to kill mechanically using heat, washing, drying and brushing,” Gouge said…"look for products that list benzyl alcohol as the active ingredient. And, if you get a prescription from your pediatrician, request one with benzyl alcohol, such as Ulesfia.
