Maricopa County Master Gardeners: Cultivating Plants, People and Communities since 1980:
Master Gardener volunteers are trained by University of Arizona faculty and
staff during a 17-week course. They provide educational leadership to the
community with research-based horticulture knowledge. Volunteers promote
efficient use of water, fertilizers, and pesticides, and preservation of our
desert environment.
