Welcome to the Palanivelu lab!

We are interested in understanding how cells communicate with each other. We are using pollen tube growth during Arabidopsis thaliana reproduction as a model system to accomplish this goal.

Our immediate goal is to identify and characterize guidance signals generated by the A.thaliana pistils to guide pollen tubes to the embryo sac and achieve fertilization.
