1. PL S 360 Principles of Plant Physiology
I am teaching this course since Spring 2016.
Course Description: The goal of this course is to provide hands-on experience in plant biology. The students will receive a "mutant" and they will put it through a battery of tests to assess its performance in various assays and correlate them to the extent to which they are drought tolerant. The course is designed based on the lab class designed by researchers in Australian National University and uses their "The Plant Detective's" manual.
2. PL S 359 Plant Cell Structure and Function
I am teaching this course since Fall 2011.
Course Description: This course will teach students about the principles of plant anatomy and cell and developmental biology. It is a required course for undergraduate students who major in plant sciences. Register for this course at http://www.uaccess.arizona.edu

3. PLS 312 - Animal and Plant Genetics
I team taught this course with Dr. Dennis T. Ray in spring 2010 and 2011.
Course Description: The principles of heredity as they apply to all living organisms, with an emphasis on plants, from molecular to populations with laboratory experience and problem solving.

4. PL S 696A - Interdisciplinary Plant Sciences seminar course
I taught this course in 2007 and 2008.
Course Description: Students taking this course will i) attend the seminar and ii) meet to discuss and critically evaluate research articles written by visiting seminar speakers.
5. MCB 181 - Introductory Biology course for UA science majors
I team taught this course with Dr. Rob Leonard in 2007 and Dr. Brian Larkins in 2008.
Course Description: Introduction to the cell and its properties, basic genetics, the immune system, recombinant DNA technology with illustrations from bacteria, plants, animals and humans. Honors section available for 4 units.
6. PLS 539 - Methods in Genomics and Cell Biology
I team taught this course with Dr. David Galbraith in 2007.
Course Description: In-depth, practical and theoretical analysis of novel, experimental methods that advance our understanding of modern biology.
