The
Department of Plant Sciences is sad to announce that Dr. Christina
Kennedy, professor of Plant Pathology & Microbiology, passed
away recently. Dr. Kennedy made numerous contributions to our understanding
of biological nitrogen fixation in the free-living diazotrophs Azotobacter
vinelandii and Acetobacter diazotrophicus. Please contact Dr.
